Its early morning. I made coffee, tea, prepared small breakfast. And put on boiled water into thermos. We have our special food for mountains. Just add hot water.

Today we will go to iconical Tre Cimes.

The way is long again. More then one hour. Part by the private road. And this part is 30 Euros. For buses its much more expensive.

Mountains are in clouds. When we start our trekking, from refuge Auronzo,  Ksu said that its not Tre Cime…. Altitude is 2300.
But Cimes are here. We are approach to them from another, not famous by photos side.

First by the way is Refugee Lavaredo. All people slowly walk to left side, along the Cinens. And we walk ahead. Our way will turn to Cine Passaporte and to Via Ferrata Innerkofler. The view now is great. Tre Cime are in all their beauty. We ascent to the hole in the mountain Passaporte. Here we put on our ferrata kit – harness, helmet and carbines on the strong rope.

First tunnel is very low and we moved on our knees. Ups! Finished and wall fall dawn. Tre Cime appears again!

Next stage we clicked our carabins to the metal wire. It’s the pass on  the wall. May be 50 sm width. But dawn is gap. Step by step in unreal beauty. Small tunnel. Cross the ravine. And again on the wall. Tunnel and we are inside the mountain circus. Now Tre Cimes invisible, because needle like mountains between us.

All nature is so beautiful that we stay stunning. Clouds come from the dawn up.

We again click to wire and follow the way inside the circus. Now I understand that we need to climb up to the pass Camoscio (2680). This climb is dangerous in wet weather. It’s something like natural steps on the wall. But if fall dawn…

On the pass we have the choose – go strait to ref Locatello or make small round to the top of Monte Patterno (2740). It’s nothing very special in climbing. The same we did, but a lot of people waiting in jam. And we decided to go ahead.

Next part was dangerous. It was sharp ridge with wire. External side fall to 300 m dawn. Inner part was much more safe, but if something – it can be sad or deadly sad.

This part was also overcrowded. Some people moved up, some – dawn.

It’s finished before the entrance into the tunnel.  It was also wire inside, but really, if you can be careful and make step by step slowly, it’s only long staircase and nothing more! Long , with different stairs.

One more duck out before the last tunnel.
And Refugee Locatello. With the best tables in Dolomite because it’s the best view from here. And best Kajserpancake….

Clouds around us became black colour. Storm is coming and we need to escape.

Big drops of rain.

We Harry to Tre Cinens. But I don’t want go the same trail. And I turn right before Cinens.  From far away the pass seems easy walk on pebble. But it’s not the truth. It’s mostly big stones lay random. This way, may be longer then traditional way back. But with new stunning views.

Fat smog lay on the mountain when we had been near the car.  But our adventure was successfully made!
