Petroglifs of Sahara.

Early morning 1of January of 2011 we made the real scientific opening.

This New Year passed in a surprizing place – among dunes and ruins of ancient city not far away from an oasis Карга  in Qasr al – Labeka. In the Egyptian desert.

After breakfast we trudged in dunes to the small mountain. A morning sun gilded sand.

Walked up a flat top and saw the wide wind-blown sea before itself. Mountains rose on horizon.

Suddenly a look caught  strange outlines, escaping under a top.

I lay down and glanced downward.

The ribbon of ancient petroglifs showed off down.

From a delight we hardly not knocked down from a mountain. Began quickly to go down, that as that it is from below better to consider pictures and

to sneak up to them nearer.

Climbed over through a dune and neatly climbed on крохкой to the sandy wall nearer to Petroglifs.

On a dense wall a few ten of pictures took place chaotically. They were not collected in single composition. These were  images of animals – antelope, goats, one giraffe, possibly, one camel. Between them primitive reliefs of boats  with people. An incomprehensible geometrical figure was distinguished with a birdie from above.

The first images of rock pictures and petroglifs were documented by Frenches in the middle of 19 century. Seeing the copies of animals in Paris, the scientific world came in confusion. In Sahara it is quite impossible to see that it was represente!

The subsequent researchers of Africa brought new copies from new places. Collection grew.

Became clearly, that a climate so much changed in Sahara.

Petroglifs of Sahara scientists broke up on three periods

it is a period of hunters

it is a period of cattle breeders

it is a period of camels.

The earliest and picturesque- period of hunters. Greater part of standards is in the desert in Libya. And hardly hardly in Algeria.  It is wonderful images of giraffes, elephants, rhinoceroses and stages of hunt. Petroglifs are Enormous, up to 2 meters in a height. Images are very clear and executed with large trade.  approximately 10-8 вв to н э. Being of these reliefs is in the now lifeless desert, is proof of dramatic change of climate in central, north parts of Africa.

When a climate became drier and the first desert appeared, the period of cattle breeders” came “. Such petroglifs are  most numerous and characterized by plenty of images of domestic animals, goats, antelope, well intagliated contours of people.

From the second millennium BCand to 5 AC of picturesqueness of petroglifs comes end. Unknown why, but people left off to carve the stages from life and beautiful valuable images.

Coming from aforesaid, it is undifficult to suppose that our find behaves to the period of camels and was carved not earlier 2BC and after 5AC.
