Sculpture Park Bruno Weber

Dietikone.

It is surprisingly to find such a park just in20 minutes from Zurich in a rustic and a bit snobbish Dietikone.
So – the town as a town. As in the whole of Switzerland – buses on Schedule,  a lots of flowers, the city pool (the three together, one indoor and two outdoor), men lying on the grass. Everywhere the green grass.  Stables with chocolate colour horses. Everything is beautiful.
We are on the signs. Ivan touches like our labrador when she do not want to go anywhere.
I pull it.

It’s hot.
Finally we climb up the hill and then just stop – in front of us something very unusual.
At the entrance we welcome by the deers, more like giraffes with lanterns on their heads. Between them ran  mosaic caterpillars and gay Nerds.
Then only murmurs, Mr. Bruno  seen enough of Gaudi creations, carefully examined the real and mythical animal life on our planet and created ….
A huge circular platform surrounded by two dragons on tall legs.  They are connected with muzzles, but  we can walk on a curved spine!
In the center countless sculptures of the artist. Completed and no yet. This, as stated in the explanatory paper, a water park.

There is no water.

Near the theater is the main entrance through  a huge mouth.
Everywhere in the park arranged chairs in the form of Scythian women and benches in an elongated giraffes.
Bruno Weber – a man extremely productive. In fact, he was able to learn and adjacent park. Along the tracks locate fence  in the form of stylized animals. The forest is full of interesting sculptures and fountains. Frequently repeated theme of the unicorn. A couple of times flashed with the face  of Venetian lion.
We descended through the forest of fountains and cascades to the house. In the fountain, by the way, huge dragons and toads.
The house – a real miracle, while raving sick mind. Amazingly interesting and beautiful. It can be studied with a magnifying glass just so many small details in it.
As it turned out, the house is also functional.
Around the house a small terrace. The columns are made of concrete in the form of figures. Everyone is different. The windows, too, with various finishes. Near WC (greetings from Kawakawa Hundertwasser). The second floor  of the houses – huge masks made of metal, inlaid with stars. Crown-church domes, but without crosses))
Entrance to the house through huge intricate gates – mouth monsters.
Generally,  the park of wonders is difficult to transfer and description. You must see it! 16 full tracks, each of which would be enough to fill the town square! Moreover, almost all cast in concrete.
We went into the house.
And frozeв  - columns with chimeras and  their wings propped up the ceiling. On the walls hang the owls, made up of pieces of fused glass. Near the table with transparent inserts was a chair in the style of Art Nouveau . Can you  sit on the dragonfly?  Weber tried. Paws did legs, back and wings. Eleganse happened! In the open door could be seen unusual mirrors and moldings.
Entrance to the house was not allowed – expected arrival of 50 people for a tour and lunch. Not to us.
Mentally, we were glad that strolled through the park alone! We do not even disturbed by local woman, by coloring does not yield all the buildings – red hair, green scarf, huge rings, bracelets up to her elbows and a deep neckline. Age-70.
In conclusion, we watched a film about the author – grandfather with kind eyes and a mop of graying long hair and a bandage on his head. Always in the work and creativity.
Bruno Weber, God bless him, he is still alive. He is now 79 years old and appeared to his energy and imagination are inexhaustible! Most recently, he represented Switzerland at the exhibition of contemporary art in Seville. There are now settled again deer giraffes with lamps on their heads but in the Assyrian style – They added a luxurious striped wings ….
At the station we followed Dietikone deer with lamps on their heads.
Remember this name – Dietikon!
