Junkerhause. Germany

All around the world, scattered amazing homes made by the hands of amateur architects. You can imagine what the locals say in that time about these cranks. And they did, quietly, day after day, and build what today admire not only the locals, but also tourists from all around the world. Such houses are really rare. They must be looking for.
The first house we found was in France, near Grenoble. House of Facteur Cheval ( House of Crazy Horse). It was built by the hands of postman.
The second funny house we found in Turkey, on the way to Cappadocia. In this house, there are its rightful owner, who dedicated his pitcher-potted design to the house. By the way, all that can be moved, you can buy and take home.
The third house we found was in Germany in the small town of Lemgo. Carl Juncker (1950 – 1912) was born and grew up in this enchanting tiny town. He was talented and received a pension of Munich School of Fine Arts. Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, Karl did not want for a long time learn there. Two years later he went to travel through Italy, came back and asked for permission from the municipal authorities to build a house on the outskirts of the city. Even then, Karl crept up with the idea to make a house-museum and charge for its viewing.
Two years he build the carcass of future home. And then, during many years, Carl personally decorated the house. Thousands of wooden parts do not leave any free centimeters in internal and external panels.
The area inside the house is very small, the rooms are small, heating there missing. But the number of cut parts is beyond counting! On the ground floor there is a workshop, kitchen, toilet and ”throne” room. On the ceiling, in medallions, schematically painted scenes from the Bible. In the ”Throne” room is presented a chair of unimaginable design with a crown of thorns. Or something very reminiscent it. The kitchen is original, with intricate chairs with high backs. Cook here is quite impossible.
But the toilet, again, like a throne room, and here you can not only just comfortably, but also read a newspaper.
House has no heating and electricity. Wonderful staircase leads to the second floor.
Karl had no children and familiy. Therefore, it is incomprehensible big amount of cradles and huge bed, carved canopy. Saying ”carved” I mean only wooden sticks, which gave a strange shape. Then from these sticks Karl laid out, for example, ceiling, or a lot of sticks placed on the panel walls, or are of such a figure sticks, made chairs.
The second floor had a huge tombstone with the body of Jesus. Now it is in the museum at Junkershause.
From the outside the house make a strange impression – round and square windows, an infinite number of small details, as tiny as for the dwarves. Well, the color of the house – blue, yellow and blue. Karl managed to build a house and even during his lifetime, the house became famous. Not long time happy master took the money for the entrance, but soon fell ill with pneumonia and died.
Today psychologists say, alas, almost all the same – schizophrenia. Entering the house, you hardly can believe that a normal person could live in it!
Nevertheless, the house is completely unique.
And a few words more.
Yet today many of these eccentrics were not only accepted by the world, but deservedly hoisted on a pedestal of the Great Architectural Creators. For example, Mr. Hundertvasser, Mr. Gaudi , Mr. Gorodetsky (House with Chimeras).
May be the world will know more about the Small Architectural Creator?
