Kayaking on Vorskla-river in  Poltava region.

Not to be painfully hurt for aimlessly weekend, you just need to plan ahead! It;s easy!

First, we need a little bit ( 3 hours ))) rummage in the Internet, find  something interesting in  radius of 400 km, plan routes, download them into GPS, get together and go. That is all! Very easy! Or find such an enthusiast who has it all done before!

We have a wonderful companion. On the site he did not sit. And he always somewhere. Well, we are  sometimes go with him.

This time the road ran along the river Vorskla (for the uninitiated – Poltava region). We start Thursday evening, tightly downloading Prado with two canoes, 5 people and everything necessary for self-contained accommodation within 3 days. It turned out a lot. The road lay to village Zhuravne, through which flows Vorskla -river. It was decided to throw car somewhere and start with canoe. The road leading to Zhuravne  is deadlock. The last renovation was carried out after the Second World War. The car type Prado  is real rarity.. People from Kiev did not appear in the village for minimum 20 years. In general, the place had been found successful.

Vorskla River in these places remarkably clean, with good flow, sandy bottom. In the river  lives chub. Possible to see him with  naked eye. Dimensions – stagger the imagination. To catch the  - possible with fly only ))

All the time we stopped and swam.

Unfortunately, somewhere within 7-10 km of track, current disappeared. Smart people built on the Vorskla dams. Water is already over 10km before them ;standing; and not very clean. It should be kept rowing.

But the landscape resembled that of the best Russian artists! During the day we passed 21km.

We spent the night in the forest. At night, a tree fell with a crash. Absolutely green. There was no wind. We are very frightened. Crohn lying in 15 meters from the tent.

The next morning started again. Finally appears  the dam. Hurry enclosed. Current again. The water was clear. We rowed for a long time. Floated the local regional center Kotelva. Men poked our toes. The banks are still incredibly beautiful. Places for parking a lot, but a lot of holidaymakers. Unfortunately, in the afternoon the weather deteriorated badly. It began to rain. Initially weak, and then – ever stronger. We rowed, rowed, and then the weather suddenly improved. And we decided to quickly made the camp. Behind us was the next cloud.

We set up camp on the high right bank near the strange aspen groves. Lying around a lot of fallen trees and branches. We decided that the hurricane had all broke and now we are in safety.

Far away in the meadow stood a solitary tree. By the evening on the tree arrived 10 storks. They were sitting on thin branches and kurlykali. We cannot get very close to the storks. Flown. The night passed quietly.

All night the rain thrashed.

In the morning the rain stopped. To Oposhnya village  was somewhere 4km. It was decided little more  go on  kayaks to the place where the river flows under the bridge. It was only 20km.

If anyone is in these places, do not forget to visit the village of Apple (can Yabluneve). There is a striking memorial to the victims of the World War Second. Memorial consists of three monuments – the dead villagers, the soldiers who died in battles for the village and the people shot by the fascists. The most striking – the monuments from top to bottom are covered with photographs.

Adventure we finished in the marked place, going about 60 km downstream from s.Zhuravnoe.

When we looked down from the bridge, we found husky chub, waiting for a prey.
